Welcome to the first installment of The Great Beard Struggle: Beard Not Growing on cheeks. We at Vivanour are frustrated with the undesirable patchy beard look.  We know that every man desires that full alpha male beard that their significant other craves and begs to run through their fingers. That’s why we’re here. Let’s start with the basics.

Testosterone, DHT, and Beard Growth

Testosterone levels play a significant role in your beard journey. The DHT level is no exception. The DHT level does more for beard growth than testosterone when it comes to beard growth. Studies have shown that men with higher Testosterone and DHT Levels will more likely enhance beard growth. A beard’s most crucial need is DHT to reach its highest potential.

What is DHT? DHT stands for Dihydrotestosterone. DHT is a byproduct of metabolized testosterone. Therefore a low Testosterone or DHT level will significantly stunt beard growth. What you need to know is how to jump-start your testosterone level.

How do we increase testosterone levels?

They are plenty of ways to increase your testosterone, some safer than others. Let’s look at the NUMBER ONE way to increase your testosterone and, therefore, DHT level.

Exercise, it’s a win-win

Exercise is an excellent way to boost testosterone levels.

Strength training and weight lifting workout regimens cause the body to produce an abundance of the big “T.” Studies show that the greater the intensity of the workout, the higher the boost in testosterone. Not only will you finally achieve your yearly resolution but vamp up your Testosterone and DHT level. Here at Vivanour, we recommend compound weight lifting

Why? Compound Lifts

The more muscle fibers created, the more the testosterone. Here are a few examples of popular compound lifts: Bench Press, Squat, Deadlift, Bend Over Row, and much more. Don’t Skip leg days. Your legs are the largest muscles in your body. You can’t afford to include it in your weekly routine.

Intensity, Intensity, Intensity

Intensity is the level of output over some time.

Intensity makes sure that there is an increase in muscle fiber recruitment. The result is an increase in testosterone.

Greater intensity means greater output over less time. Men; put more weight on the bar.

Diet

Your diet plays a massive role in the tools that your body needs to grow that beard. Let’s start with some basics and get you fulling those cheeks.

Are you eating enough:

Low-calorie diets have a very negative effect on testosterone production.

You can’t expect your body to produce if you haven’t given it the tools that it needs to get the job done.

Eat More Protein for that Beard Growth

Protein consummation is more important, but don’t overdo it. The motto is “the more the protein, the more the testosterone” has long been disproven. Let your daily calories intake hit around 20-25% of protein. Classic sources of protein are chicken, fish, steak.

Fats to Fill up those Cheeks

Testosterone is a fatty acid. So running away from fats is not such a good idea. Saturated and monounsaturated fats should be your close friend. Fatty acids are found in various nuts, avocados, and fish, increasing testosterone.

Carbs

Your carb intake should be 40- 60 percent of your daily intake. Try to keep your carb intake clean; recommended foods are whole wheat pasta, potatoes, milk, and beans.

Adding multivitamins are an excellent choice to your beard journey. Some vitamins look into when picking a multivitamin.

Vitamin C:

Vitamin C is important in the growth and development, and repair of all body tissues, including the maintenance of cartilage, bones, and teeth. Vitamin C also helps increase blood flow and promotes the growth and development of hair follicles. Vitamin C also increases testosterone.

Biotin:

Known as Vitamin B7 is related to hair growth because it promotes the creation of keratin, the structural protein for hair. There is a reason you hear use Biotin everywhere, even from beard growth.

Vitamin K

Vitamin K is used to regulate calcium in bones and in the brain. Also, this vitamin is crucial for producing testosterone and DHT.

Vitamin E

**Vitamin E helps promote healthy skin and hair. No one wants their bread growing in frizzy, dry, and brittle; Vitamin E helps prevent that; and promotes moisturized skin under your beard, giving it an excellent base to grow from. looking for a product that us at vivanour for your bread growth journey. Sleep:

True growth happens when you are not awake, and this cant be more true for beard growth.

Aim for at least 8 hours of sleep a night. This is a hot bottom issue for many, but sleeping less than 6 hours a night can drop your testosterone levels. Testosterone is produced in REM- sleep.

Men who sleep for 8 hours a day have 50% more T than does who sleep for four hours a day.

Go get some sleep.

Washing

Keeping your skin and beard clean and moisturized can add an added effect on your new majestic beard appearance. Adopt an exfoliating routine for your face to open up those pores. Removing dead skin cells around can promote a fuller look to your growing beard.

Moisturizing

Leave-ins specifically for beards can help give your growing bread that shiny, well-kept look, of course, after proper grooming. Experiment with bread creams and oils that work well with your skin type. Here are some beard oils and creams we recommend.

Over the counters/ Medication

We have to include this medication because we at vivanour have seen success in beard growth

Minoxidil

Minoxidil is an over-the-counter drug that can come in a foam or a liquid that helps increase the size of hair follicles.

In addition, the treatment shortens the resting phase(telogen) of hair growth which means your beard will stay in the growth phase longer(Anagan). Most hair on the body grows through 3 phases.

Vivanour recommends this:

Be patient

If everything good takes time, then everybody would have everything; imagine a world like that, wouldn’t be a bit chaotic, don’t you think? Taking things step by step continuously every day is sure to lead to an outcome.  Now your own your way to your glorious skin, its time to upgrade your fashion click here

Disclaimer

We at vivanour left this for last because we noticed a lot of people skip to this part to catch the skimmer. Taking anabolic steroids to grow a beard is NOT a good idea. With all the side effects, erectile dysfunction, shrunken testes, roid rage, all bad.

We addressed the more natural methods first but taking anabolics without looking toward more natural methods is not only impatient but can be dangerous without the supervision of your doctor.
